IDW Games and March Hare announce Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa

Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa Box Top

San Diego, CA (August 11, 2017) –  The first in a trilogy of games, Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa is a drafting card game of ambition and deception. Subrosa uses App-enhanced gameplay, bringing a modern flair to the traditional card game, and making it easier than ever to deceive your opponents and get the upper-hand.

The Daemon Trilogy is in a world of Noble Houses who have captured Daemons and used their abilities and power to grow their own renown and wealth. Using notable characters, assassins, mercenaries and other devious tactics, players will continue growing the riches of their house, or fall to the power of another.

Designed by Nathan Weisman of March Hare, with oversight by Jordan Weisman, Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa uses App-enhanced gameplay, allowing 2-5 players to perform secret actions and abilities giving everyone the shadow of secrecy to best play cards and collect their contracts. Using image recognition software that scans each card, players can utilize a single device, or login with multiple devices to play.

In the Daemon Trilogy, game results from Subrosa will affect gameplay during the next game in the set. At the end of each game, the results will let players know what changes and updates will need to take place to characters, households, and other rules. The Daemon Trilogy is designed so all three games can be played in a single game session, with game length to be around the same time as a larger box game of 60-90 minutes.

Jerry Bennington, VP of New Product Development, said, “We are excited for Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa and its unique gameplay. Nathan Wesiman has been able to create an experience that combines the app with card gameplay to really capture the deception and strategy that makes for an exciting game. Having these games build into a series of games that can all be played in one sitting, is something we are really looking forward to people playing.”

IDW Games will unleash Daemon Trilogy: Subrosa this November. Come by Booth #154 at Gen Con for an early look at this new card game.

OutpostSiberia_BT

Outpost: Siberia is a fully cooperative, survival game that plays with a single deck of cards. By enduring relentless weather and defeating untamable beasts, players are rewarded with the much-needed tools and food to continually resupply their resources.

Outpost: Siberia keeps the tension high, as players will need to collect their wits and ration their supplies in order to make through the perpetual perils that lie ahead!

Players have a limited supply of knights and action cards that allow special actions to be taken. Efficient use of pieces and cards, along with a thoughtful awareness of future possibilities, is the heart of this game.

Seikatsu

Seikatsu_PR_OpenGame

In Seikatsu, players take turns placing tiles into a shared garden area, with each tile showing a colored flower and colored bird. Players score for groups of birds as they place them, but they score for rows of flowers only at the end of the game and only for the rows of flowers that exist from their perspective, i.e., that are viewable as lines from where they sit at the game board.

Early Previews:

Atari: Centipede

Centipede_PR_OpenGame

In Atari: Centipede, 2 or 4 players venture into the world of the classic Atari arcade game. On one side, a Player controls the Gnome, exploring the forest and trying to defeat the Centipede.

The Gnome Player rolls and spends their daice to perform actions, while the Centipede Player uses a deck of cards to spawn Fleas, Spiders and Mushrooms, trying to control the game board.

The first Player to eliminate their opponent wins the game!
